The Beyond the Yellow Ribbon of Albert Lea steering committee announced this weekend it has established a Facebook page for public use.

The action comes as the committee is formalizing its action plan to be recognized as a Yellow Ribbon Community.

A Yellow Ribbon Community united areas within a community to create a network that connects and coordinates agencies, organizations, resources and employers to support servicemembers and military families.

The Facebook page is meant to assist the families in need and those who wish to help.
