Glenville-Emmons first-grade students were surprised when they received two books about Barney Bear from Marge Hammersly, of Glenville. Hammersly created Barney Bear. She sewed and sold many bears over the years. Books about Barney Bear were also published and sold. The students would like to thank Hammersly for donating the books.

The Glenville Women of Today organization does service projects throughout the year. One of their annual projects is to raise funds to donate a new book to each Glenville-Emmons first-grader. Pictured is the first grade class at Glenville-Emmons Elementary with their new books. Students and staff wish to thank Glenville Women of Today for their support.
