The Freemond Madson Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 447 met at 7 p.m. on June 13 at the American Legion Hall. President Eunice Hatleli presided.
The group wishes to thank all post and auxiliary members who assisted in the Poppy Day and Memorial Day activities, and those who helped selling hot dogs at the Nelson’s Market snack stand June 10 and 11. With the help of the public these were deemed very successful.
The next project was the request of the REACT Club for the VFW’s home baked cookies for them to distribute to the traveling public at the south I-35 rest stop safety break over the July 4 weekend.
The door prize was won by Vicki Westeng. Lunch was served by Hatleli.
Next meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday, July 11, at the Legion Hall.
