The Freemond Madson Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 447 met Monday, July 11, at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. President Eunice Hatleli presided.

The charter was draped for departed sister, Ardys Modderman.

The group had baked 125 dozen cookies on June 29 at the Moose Club for the REACT club for the I-35 rest stop. In June the group had sold hot dogs and brats and pop at a Nelson’s Market Place stand, and the group would like to thank these places for the priviledge of using their facilities.

The group will have an auxiliary free salad luncheon for 2012 paid up members in August or September. Watch or listen for the date.

Vicki Allen served lunch. Ruby Fredrickson won the door prize.

The next regular meeting will be Monday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall.
