The Domestic Engineers Learning Circle met on June 23 for the annual day trip. The group stayed in the Albert Lea area. They first met at Grandma’s Kitchen in the Northbridge Mall for muffins and coffee. There were 10 members present. The group proceeded to Hayward and visited Garden Diva & Design Studio and Calico Hutch Quilt store.
They came back for lunch at Grandma’s Kitchen. In the afternoon the group toured Daisy Blue Naturals and Granicrete Minnesota. All were very interesting. The group finished at Dairy Queen for treats and a short meeting.
Sharon Jahnke called the meeting to order. Bev Diercks made motion to purchase a gift certificate for Wendy and Neva Matheson seconded it. Carol Olson will do this. Phyllis Hamborg read a thank you note from Sharon Jahnke.
Next meeting will be a potluck picnic at Carol Olson’s. Group members signed up for what they wanted to bring.
Jean McCarthy planned to hold a meeting in her home on July 12, for the incoming officers.
