Alden Lions receive donation

Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services purchased a Helping Hands sponsorship for the upcoming Harlem Ambassadors Basketball Show at 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Alden-Conger School.

The donation will be used to purchase tickets to be distributed to low-income families in the area. Advance tickets for the event are available at Doyle’s Hallmark in the Northbridge Mall and Hometown Snacks and Sweets in Alden. Tickets are $6 for students age 15 and under, and $9 for adults and senior citizens.

Admission at the door is $2 more. Group discount packages are available by calling 507-383-5344 or 507-402-5434. Concessions will open at 4:30 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m. Concessions available include chocolate malts, and hot dogs and pulled pork from donated by Next Generation Farms.
