Autumn in the Village to be held Sunday

Autumn in the Village will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Freeborn County Historical Museum, Library and Village, 1031 Bridge Avenue, Albert Lea. Admission is $5 for adults, $1 students 12 to 18, members and children 11 and under are free.

Autumn in the Village is an afternoon filled with entertainment and fun for the entire family. There will be activities in the Country School and Village. The general store will be open with candy for sale. You may purchase a photo of yourself in the Photography Shop with jewelry and hats from the past. Stop in at the Barbershop or visit the woodworking shop to see foot-powered saws at work. There will be an archeological dig, rope making and corn shelling/grinding to name a few of the day’s activities. There will be demonstrations by the Twilight Treadlers, Simply Sisters (homemade soap), wagon rides and other activities. Music will be provided throughout the afternoon and those in attendance will enjoy various other displays.

Our menu for the day is: crumble burgers, hot dogs, chips, apple pie and ice cream, sarsaparilla, water, coffee, pop, kettle korn and old fashioned candy.
