Alexandria-based Mount Carmel Trio will perform a concert Sunday in the First Lutheran Church sanctuary, 301 W. Clark St., Albert Lea.

The trio, made up of violist Jane Schuneman, cellist Sonja Hinderlie and pianist Kay Hoffland, began playing together in 1992.

Each summer they prepare a new program of music and present several concerts.

Their repertoire includes piano trios by composers Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart, Glinka, Mendelssohn, Debussy, Turina, Rowley, and Arensky. Arrangements include works of J.S. Bach, Handel, Schumann, Franck and hymn tunes; tangos by Piazzolla and show tune favorites: “Sound of Music,” “Carousel,” “West Side Story,” “Oklahoma,” “Brigadoon,” “The King and I” and “Song of Norway.”
