2 injured in crash of stolen vehicle

Two people were injured Thursday night after a rollover in a stolen vehicle just north of Alden.

According to a Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office news release, a deputy came across the stolen vehicle that had rolled over just before midnight on 650th Avenue.

No one was around when the vehicle was first found, but one person that had been inside of the vehicle came back and told the deputy there was still and man and a woman missing and that both were injured.

After a search by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, the Alden Police Department, the Alden Fire Department and the Freeborn Fire Department, the two people were found in Alden and were transported to the hospital for injuries.

No other information about the stolen vehicle or the people injured was available as of press time.

Woman injured after crash

A 37-year-old woman was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Thursday afternoon after her vehicle reportedly collided with another at the intersection of Water Street and Broadway Avenue.

According to police, Andrea Marie Guildner was transported to the hospital after she was struck by another vehicle.

Guildner was reportedly southbound on Broadway Avenue when another vehicle, driven by Amy Nicole Martin, 36, was turning north on Broadway Avenue from Water Street and failed to yield to Guildner’s vehicle.

No citations were issued.

Child bit by dog

A 9-year-old child was reportedly bit in the lip by a dog just after 5 p.m. Thursday, according to police. The extent of the child’s injuries were unknown as of press time.

Woman cited after leaving crash

Police cited Sandra Ann Kirsch for leaving the scene of an accident Thursday evening after she reportedly hit a bicyclist on Bridge Avenue. The bicyclist was not injured.
