J.D. Thorsen, a doctor in Mason City, Iowa, hit the first hole-in-one at Pheasant Links Golf Course in Emmons on Sept. 14. Thorson scored his second career ace on the 135-yard Hole 3 with a wedge. The shot was witnessed by his playing group, including Phil Alscher, Walter Bate and David Ruen.
