Wow! The Freeborn County Red Cross had a marvelously successful house tour all due to the wonderful people who were involved with it, as well as the generous people who bought tickets and toured the homes.
First and foremost a huge thank you to David and Becky Ausen, David and Mary Behrends, Paul and Tina Horejsi, John Pershbacher and Susie Avery, and Gordon and Kathy Toenges! A little more than a year ago they were in shambles, but after unbelievablely hard work were willing to put their homes on the tour for the Red Cross.
Thank you to the businesses who gave money to help sponsor the tour: Jim and Dude’s, Southern Minnesota Landscaping, Stone Werx, Geno’s Plumbing and Heating, Morris Furniture, Albert Lea Electric, Albert Lea Paint and Glass, Freeborn Lumber Co., Reindal Electric, and Wangen Excavating.
Thank you Church Offset Printing, HyVee, Quizno’s, Nelson’s Market Place, Ole’s Shell Station, Celebrations, Albert Lea Seed and Walmart. These are the generous businesses who donated ticket printing, cookies, balloons, flowers and bags for the shoes!
And of course a big thank you to the volunteers who worked on the tour and helped staff the houses.
People in Freeborn County are pretty impressive.
