NEW ULM — A prosecutor is reviewing evidence in a fatal New Ulm police car crash to determine whether any charges are warranted.

The Minnesota State Patrol conducted the investigation into the July crash which killed 82-year-old Myra Meyer, of New Ulm, and her 60-year-old son, Brian Wichmann, of Mankato. Meyer was driving the car that was struck by a police squad as she was waiting to turn into a driveway.

Redwood County Attorney Steven Collins is reviewing video recordings and hundreds of photos and is talking with investigators. The State Patrol completed its investigation last week.
