Austin Big Band to perform annual Thanksgiving eve dance

The Austin Big Band will be performing their annual Thanksgiving eve big band dance at the American Legion in Austin at 8 p.m. Wednesday. This dance is open to the public and free of charge.
The Austin Big Band will be playing three hours of your favorite dancing and listening music to include: “It had Better be Tonight,” “Save the Last Dance for Me,” “Stardust,” “Something’s Gotta Give,” “Come Fly with Me,” “Mambo Swing” and many others. Special guest vocalists Alice Holst and Laura Davis will also join the band.
The Austin Big Band has been performing throughout the area for the past 17 years and performs at several events throughout the southern Minnesota and northern Iowa region. The Austin Big Band consists of 17 musicians from the southern Minnesota and northern Iowa area. The band plays many big band hits of yesterday and today. The band is available for private parties, weddings and corporate functions.
