Albert Lea’s City Arena is about to become a little wilder. The Minnesota Wild’s mascot, Nordy, above, is coming to City Arena from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 13. The Albert Lea School District and boys’ and girls’ hockey boosters worked together to bring Nordy to town. He will be signing autographs for students and interacting with fans during the Albert Lea boys’ and girls’ hockey games. “I am hopeful it will bring some great energy and many more fans to the arena that night,” Albert Lea Activities Director John Double said. “A special thanks to the girls’ and boys’ hockey boosters for working with the Activities Department to make this happen for our community.” -- Photo courtesy of the Minnesota Wild
