There are caring and helpful people in Albert Lea.

I had a hit-and-run vehicle accident Oct. 6. I was on my way to Walmart on Blake Avenue. A lady came from Hendrickson Road and ran into me so hard that both airbags came out and knocked my eyeglasses loose. She then drove off. Thank goodness a young man took the license number down. I am so thankful for that young man’s quick action.

I am also thankful for, I believe, the mother, daughter and son who took such good care of me until the ambulance and police arrived.

I would like to thank all of you personally, but I didn’t get your names.

Thank goodness for air bags and seat belts. My van was totaled.
