Man seen brandishing knife Thursday

A large fight early Thursday resulted in a possible stab wound, according to Albert Lea police reports.

A fight occurred before 3 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day near Clark Street and Euclid Avenue, according to police reports. The reports say a Hispanic man in his 20s with a white hooded sweatshirt, shaved head and a goatee, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, brandished a serrated Gerber knife.

Police say the suspect left southbound on Adams Avenue. Officers were unable to locate him. The report says the injury was minor and no one was transported for medical attention.

Car hits pedestrian

A man was struck by a car near 6 p.m. Wednesday at the corner of Bridge Avenue and Minnie Maddern Street in Albert Lea, causing an injury. No further information was available at the Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center.

 

Boys take shopping cart

Four boys admitted Wednesday to taking a Nelson’s Market Place shopping cart to Kwik Trip at Front Street and First Avenue and leaving it in the middle of the street. Police had to locate the boys. They agreed to return the shopping cart. The incident happened around 3:30 p.m.

 

Eggs fly for holiday

Police spoke with the parents of a teenage driver on South Shore Drive about throwing eggs at a car near Front Street and Newton Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The teenage driver had three passengers, according to reports.

Also, a car was reported as being egged around 9 p.m. Thursday at 1025 S. Broadway Ave.

 

Squealing tires in Manchester

A white car was reported burning rubber Tuesday afternoon on the north end of Main Street in Manchester. A plate number was reported to authorities.

 

Copper stolen

A large theft of copper was reported at 71811 325th St. near Hartland. The report was called in at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

 

Items taken from car

Items were reported stolen Thursday morning from a Nissan Altima parked in the driveway at 718 E. Hawthorne St. in Albert Lea.

 

Cars crash on Front St.

A traffic crash occurred near 1311 W. Front St. around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. There was minor damage, and no one was injured.

 

Gas line hit

A natural gas line was reported as hit at Alamco Wood Products during the lunch hour on Tuesday. Alliant Energy shut it down.

 

Tackle taken

Fishing tackle was reported as stolen on Tuesday from a garage attached to the home at 208 S. Broadway Ave. in Albert Lea.
