The winners of the 2011 raffle have received their prizes. Paul Brandt, of Albert Lea, won the Winchester Wildcat 22, which was donated by Hart Brothers Weaponry. Morgan Luhring, of Albert Lea, was the winner of the wildlife print by artist A.J. Padgett.

Our chapter uses the proceeds from this raffle to help send area youth to the MDHA summer camps. These camps help prepare today’s youth to be tomorrow’s hunters and conservation leaders. They focus on ecology, biology, ethics and skills in a fun and inviting atmosphere that can affect every fiber of a youth’s life. Mark Johnson, MDHA Executive Director, states “We are not trying to entertain kids. We are purposefully educating boys and girls to become better, more responsible stewards of our natural resources. The fact that they love it indicates we do it right.”

We thank the community for your continued support of the MDHA and this rewarding project.
