Naeve Hospital Auxiliary donates to Mayo Clinic Health System in A.L.

Naeve Hospital Auxiliary recently donated $102,895 to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for selected items from the medical center’s capital expense list and “wish list” items submitted by departments. The items include a pediatric mist tent for the Respiratory Therapy, a blanket warmer for Ambulatory Surgery, lift seats for the Medical Surgical and Special Care units, and two cytoscopes for Urology.

Additionally, the auxiliary contributed 16,457 volunteer hours in 2010 to support the gift shop, coffee shop, pediatric tours and other projects. The value of those hours is approximately $348,230.

The auxiliary, founded in 1906, is a group of volunteers that serves Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea patients and families and raises funds for equipment, furnishings and patient care items.
