PM Report: 2 injured after crashes

Two people were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Friday evening after separate crashes on the interstates.
According to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports, Wesley Raymond Hintz, 80, was transported after a crash at 5:36 p.m. near the Interstate 90 and Interstate 35 intersection. No other information was available as of press time.
Reports stated another person was transported after a crash at 5:52 p.m. Friday near mile 21 of northbound I-35.
3 cited for alcohol, pot
Albert Lea police cited three juveniles for alcohol and marijuana violations Saturday night.
According to police, one juvenile was cited for paraphernalia, one juvenile was cited for possession of alcohol and one was cited for marijuana after a traffic stop at 11:39 p.m. Saturday at 100 W. Hawthorne St.
Apartment broken into
The back window of an apartment at 518 W. College St. was reported broken out at 3:59 a.m. Saturday, according to reports. Items were reported missing.
Man arrested on numerous charges
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Richard Allen Schaefer, no address listed for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, third-degree test refusal, no proof of insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing the legal process and open bottle violations at 4:47 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and 160th Street near Glenville. Deputies had reportedly received a call of a drunk driver.
Slick roads cause crashes
Slippery roads led to two non-injury crashes this morning.
According to reports, a person slid on ice and hit a sign near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Beth Lane at 5:52 a.m. today, reports stated.
Trailer broken into
A tool trailer near the intersection of 900th Avenue and 290th Street was reported broken into at 9:04 a.m. Friday, according to reports. Some tools were taken.
Vehicle stolen
A 1994 yellow Toyota Celica was reported stolen early Saturday morning from 63634 160th St., Alden, according to reports.
