State trooper Mike Haugen said Andrews had been looking for her mother for about 20 minutes prior.

Andrews reportedly did not know Harris was in the pathway of her vehicle and unknowingly ran over her, Haugen said. The daughter then left to drive around town in her search for her mother.

Upon her return, she found Harris lying in the roadway. The mother was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident reportedly took place just after 7:30 a.m. Friday.

Authorities stated they do not believe anyone else could have struck Harris. Lake Mills police and Lake Mills ambulance crews assisted at the scene.
