Installation of Ascension Lutheran Church Women ELCA officers for 2012 were installed at First Service on Jan. 8 by the Rev. Mark Boorsma.

They are as follows:

Doris Guenther called the meeting to order and opened with devotions and prayer. She referred to the theme verse, “I believe, help my unbelief,” Mark 9:24. She also brought to attention the article in the magazine, “Gather” on a “A Different Kind of Bold.” The group will celebrate the many ways of being bold on Bold Women’s Sunday (the fourth Sunday in February).

Secretary’s report was approved as printed in the December newsletter.

The treasurer’s report was approved and placed on file.

Reminder that recipes for the new upcoming cookbook may also be emailed to Susie O’Sell. And extended the time for recipes to July 1.

The 2012 Booklet for Ascension Lutheran Church Woman will be ready before the next monthly meeting.

Ascension will co-host with Concordia Pickeral Lake Church Women the Blue Earth River Conference on April 14, to be held at Ascension Lutheran in Albert Lea.

Discussion was held on the 2012 Program to honor Pioneer Members. Alice Jensen and Iris Tarvestad will lead this upcoming event.

Doris Guenther closed the meeting and reminded everyone that the next regular monthly meeting will be held the second Sunday in February on Feb. 12 at 9:30 a.m.
