A Christmas music recital was held Dec. 17 at the Bancroft Creek Estates by students of Sharon L. Astrup-Scott. Music from “The Magnificent,” “Messiah” and “The Nutcracker” were performed. Piano duo music reflected the “Coventry Carol” and “Journey of the Kinds.” Many string solos, ensembles, vocal solos and piano solos enhanced the Christmas spirit. A novel arrangement of “Silver Bells” by Astrup-Scott was performed by strings and three elementary bell ringers. The audience enjoyed singing a Christmas carol and “God Bless America.” A reception followed the music performance. Pictured is violinist Elise Grzybowski during her performance.
