Conger 4-H Club

The Conger 4-H Club met on Jan. 8 at the Conger Community Center. President Matt Erickson called the meeting to order. The online enrollment process needs to be done by Jan. 15. Members were asked to please pay membership dues which are $10 for members third grade and older and $5 for members who are Clover Buds. The club will be running the food stand at the Barrow Show on Feb. 10. All families should make a pan of bars. They also need workers to help set up and work that day. Share-the-Fun is on Feb. 26, and the club has plans for a performance. Livestock Quality and Ethics training will be held in Freeborn County on March 24. Members should be getting a post card if you need to take this training. The group also talked about doing a service project at a nursing home for Community Pride. February Follies is Feb. 4 for members in kindergarten to fifth-grade. The last Market Beef Weigh In is Feb. 11. Members in 7th grade and older can sign up for Youth Leader Winter Retreat on March 3-4. This will be at the Mall of America water park.
The next meeting is Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. at the Conger Community Center. The group will be going ice skating in Albert Lea with the Alden 4-H Club after the meeting.
