Human Society holding fundraiser Saturday

The Humane Society of Freeborn County will hold a first-ever “Spay-ghetti Supper” to raise funds for its spay and neutering programs. The public is invited.

Donations will be accepted at the supper, which is planned for 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at New Life Christian Church at 1705 SE Marshall St. near Advance Auto.

There will also be a membership drive. Costs are $20 for one person per year, $40 for a family for a year, $100 for a business for a year or $500 for a lifetime. There will also be an information booth with educational materials for those who are interested.

Recently the Humane Society held special adoption events. Four of the “12 Cats of Christmas” were adopted and the Home 4 the Holidays event saw 27 cats adopted and 1 dog adopted.
