The Lens & Shutter Photography Club held their Dec. 15 meeting and Christmas party at the home of member Carol Haroldson. There were 18 members and six visitors in attendance.

October’s contest category was “Candy.” Judges were Carol Bertelson and Sara Aeikens. Guest judge was Laura Lerum.

Members receiving competition awards were:

Rachelle Roth, first place for “Peep Show.”

Darcy Sime, second place for “Jelly Beans.”

Shanda Meyer, third place for “Holiday in Chocolate.”

An honorable mention was awarded to Sime. Mitch Pederson won two honorable mentions.

Merit awards were awarded to Jim Wendel, Meyer, Linda Eisterhold and Bertelson. Jamie Hauer won two merit awards.

A selection of December’s competition entries, including winning pictures, will be displayed in the lobby of the Farmers State Bank, 1452 W. Main St., Albert Lea, this month. Each month there is a new display of club pictures at the bank.

A selection of November’s competition entries, including winning pictures, will be displayed at City Hall in January.

There was no N4C print or digital competition for the month.

The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 19 at Rofshus Precision Machine, 1701 Margaretha Ave., Albert Lea. Competition category will be Backlighting.
