Man recognized for receiving patent

Mark D. Glewwe, of Prior Lake, son-in-law of L. Richard and Mavis Bryson, of Albert Lea, was recognized Nov. 18, 2011, at the Rosemount Aerospace Inc. yearly Engineering Banquet in Minneapolis for receiving United States Patent No. 7,922,121 B2 on April 12, 2011, for the invention of power distribution for an ice protection system. The invention is for vehicle ice protection systems (primarily for Aircraft) to remove ice from the leading edge surface of the moving vehicle. Ice formation on wings, engines, propellers and rotoblades is a leading cause for aircraft failure. The invention is for distributing regulated power to optimize wire weight.
