The second half of customers in the Albert Lea area participating in the interruptible service program through Alliant Energy will not be asked to interrupt their natural gas usage today, according to an Alliant Energy spokesman.
Scott Dryzcimski, manager of customer communications for the company, said temperatures are expected to rise slightly today and the interruption will not be needed.
He said most of the customers involved in Thursday’s natural gas interruption were prepared and the event was “fairly quiet.”
With temperatures around zero degrees, Thursday was expected to be a day of near peak usage.
