The Albert Lea Parks and Recreation Department today will open the city’s warming houses for the first time this season. With the kids off from school, the warming houses will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. today. Warming houses are free and available at Academy Park, Lakeview Park, Hawthorne Park and Hayek Park. Warming houses are typically open from 4 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 1 to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
