You Can Help

The following are some of the volunteer opportunities currently open in Freeborn County. If you can help with any of them or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433.
American Cancer Society daffodil sales: The American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days sale in early March needs your help early on with the behind-the-scenes planning and footwork. The Freeborn County leadership team welcomes you to do publicity, pre-sales or distribution beginning Feb. 1 through selling bunches of daffodils at stores and banks March 15 and 16. Call 507-420-4899 to be included.
Girl Scouts: Share your special talent with another leader to provide scouting experiences after school for second- and third-grade girls. This is the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting with special events planned all year long. Frequency depends on your availability-once or twice a month, perhaps. You can contact Gege Abraham at 507-475-1755 or by email at gege.abraham@girlscoutsrv.org. Abraham said the girls are more than ready, are you?
RSVP, a program of Senior Resources of Freeborn County, receives some funding through the United Way of Freeborn County, Minnesota Board on Aging and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
