Frances and Dan Hedblom are February’s featured artists at Art on Broadway at the Albert Lea Art Center. Residents of Rochester, the Hedbloms create their work by hand through a process of hammering, buffing and flame painting. There are no chemicals, paints or stains used in the process of bringing out the colors in the copper. By combining their individual talents, the Hedblom’s are able to design and create these beautiful flame painted copper works.

The public is invited to attend a Meet the Artist reception for the Hedblom’s at the Albert Lea Art Center from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Refreshments will be served. Following the reception, their copper paintings will be for sale at Art on Broadway through Feb. 18.
