Rick Santorum called Mitt Romney “a well-oiled weather vane” in reference to Romney’s shifting political positions.

Considering that each week a different GOP candidate wins a contest, it could be argued the Republican voters also are “a well-oiled weather vane.”

Clearly Republican voters in one area of the country have different ideas on conservative politics than other areas. It seems there is a tug of war between the Midwest, the South and the Northeast. Santorum has the Midwest, Gingrich the South except Florida, which is made up of a lot of Northeasterners anyway. The Northeast is where Romney is popular.

Now it is time for the West to join the fray.

This presidential political year is an example of when being one of the first states doesn’t mean being one of the deciding states. Super Tuesday (March 6) is going to be truly super.

Which candidate will they nominate for president? Romney, Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul? No one knows, but it sure makes for an exciting political horse race.
