Fully Rely on God held a Valentine’s Day party at Central Freeborn Lutheran Church on Feb. 4 with 45 people attending.
Twelve of the attendees were first time Norwegian bingo players. It was explained to them that you didn’t have to be of Norwegian ancestry but you must know how to count to six. All of the kids qualified with two of the adults needing special tutoring to qualify.
Pizza, pop and jerky were served, followed by 12 games of Norwegian bingo. Seventeen people bingoed with Eliza Griggs and Orville Goskeson bingoing the most — twice each.
A Valentine’s card was signed by those present, plus those attending church the next day and then mailed to each of the 17 church members who do not get around much anymore.
Diane Wangen and Dave Hernes were the door prize winners. Emily Griggs and Diane Wangen were the rigged birthday prize winners.
It was decided to take part in Lutheran night at the Twins. F.R.O.G. will purchase Minnesota Twins tickets, rent a bus and sell seats on the bus plus seats at the game.
The evening concluded with socializing after going through two French vanilla ice cream buckets, plus toppings whipped cream and nuts. This was an eat-all-the-calories-you-want buffet.
