Francisco “Frank” Raymon Jimenez, 68, of Crawfordville, Fla., and formally of Easton, passed away on Jan. 12, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for over 40 years and most recently served as a boxing coach/trainer at both Seminole and Legends Boxing Gyms.
Frank’s life was devoted to the boxing profession and he dedicated over 60 years to the sport as both a fighter and a trainer. He was a three time Golden Gloves champion in the state of Minnesota. After his professional career, he focused on the training of up and coming fighters.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Ramaldo Jimenez; his mother, Laura Botello Jimenez; his brother, Joseph Jimenez; sister, Sophia Sanchez; nephews: Joe Gonzalez, David Hernandez, Louie Gonzalez; and numerous beloved brother-in-laws.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Juanita Ready Jimenez, of Crawfordville, Fla.; daughters: Paula Jimenez Quirk (Brian), of Jacksonville, Fla., and Priscilla Jimenez, of Tallahassee, Fla.; sons: Julius Jimenez (ex-wife Christina), of Tallahassee and John Jimenez (Ashley), of Crawfordville; sisters: Teresa Hernandez, of Tallahassee, Kathleen DeBoer (Paul), of Albert Lea, Victoria Westing, of Albert Lea, Sara Messmore (Steve), of Mason City, Iowa, Mary Miranda (Conde), of San Diego, Calif., Beatrice Rauen (Dwayne), of Pine Island, Dolores Messmore (Ken), of Grimes, Iowa, Lois Holgin, of St. Paul; brothers: Jesse Jimenez (Josephine), of Albert Lea, Alfred Jimenez (Maria), of Tallahassee, John Jimenez (Mary), of Apple Valley; grandchildren: Emily Quirk and Evan Quirk, of Jacksonville, Fla., Selena Jimenez, Dominick Jimenez and Piper Jimenez, of Tallahassee, Mia Jimenez and Juan Jimenez, of Crawdfordville; 48 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life memorial service to honor his life was held at 11 a.m. Jan. 21 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Medart, Florida. Customary in his sport, Frank will take the Memorial 10 count – a tolling of the bell 10 times in honor of a recently deceased fighter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Big Bend Hospice, Tallahassee.
