Helen Jensen, 86, of Sun City, Ariz., and formerly of Albert Lea, died on Feb. 16, 2012, at Arizona Buttes Assisted Living, Peoria, Ariz. Helen was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Des Moines, Iowa, daughter of Amanda (Kvalheim) and William T. Sherrod.

Helen married Harley Jensen on Oct. 25, 1941, in Hayward. Helen and Harley made many friends over the years operating Harley’s Roller Rink and later Skateway in Albert Lea during the middle ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Wesley Sherrad.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Harley; her son, Wayne, and his wife, Sandy, of Sun City, Ariz., and Larry from Sun City; five grandchildren: Troy (Esther) Jensen, Tami Jensen both from Phoenix, Ariz., Adonia (Dyane) Tucson, Ariz., Amanda Prentiss and Anina Jensen both of Houston, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; three sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews and many friends.
