Funeral services for Ruth A. Borge, 81, of Albert Lea, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of St. Theodore. The Rev. Timothy T. Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Burial will be at St. Theodore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church. Ruth died on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.

Ruth Ann Borge was born on Dec. 3, 1930, in Delavan, the daughter of Louis and Dorothy (Linder) Lyneis. The family farmed near Freeborn where Ruth attended school and then they moved to Albert Lea where she completed her education at the Albert Lea High School. On Nov. 18, 1950, Ruth was united in marriage to Robert Borge at St. Theodores Catholic Church. Ruth was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. Ruth enjoyed a fierce card game and “Fast Track” and marble games. She was a member of the Albert Lea Senior Citizens, the Quilting Club, home extension group, St. Theodore’s Rosary Society and the Eagles Drill Team. Ruth loved sewing and was well known for her many beautiful quilts.

Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn and husband William Robran and children: Tina and husband Dan Urschitz, Nicholas and wife Heather and Darren Robran; son, Steven and wife Debra Borge and children: April and Christopher Borge; great-grandchildren: Cody Darcy, Tyler Robran, Kallie Thompson, Jazmyne Urschitz, Abagayle Urschitz and Claire Robran; sister, Mary and husband Robert Dowd; and brother, Eldon and wife Joyce Lyneis and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Borge; grandson, Jason Robran; and brother, Floyd Lyneis.
