Tigers wrestlers receive No. 2 seed

The fifth-ranked Albert Lea wrestling team will face Northfield in the opening round of the Section 1AAA Tournament at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Albert Lea High School.
The Tigers (19-3) received the No. 2 seed, and second-ranked Hastings (24-6) and eighth-ranked Owatonna (26-7) were seeded first and third, respectively.
Hastings wrestles the winner of No. 8 Rochester Century and No. 9 Winona, and Owatonna wrestles No. 6 Faribault (13-8).
The section semifinals and finals will be held on Saturday at the Rochester Civic Center.
