Yellow Ribbon is a good effort

I read your article about Albert Lea’s Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group and found it touching to know that people in our area still do their best to help our military families. I was unaware that this group existed, until now. I knew about different organizations around our community doing things for the elderly and disabled, but it’s nice to know that there is an organization doing things for our troops’ families too. Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group is an organization that helps our military families with emotional support, social support, and everyday tasks.

From this article I learned that Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group emotionally supports our military families by making dog tags for children of a deployed parents. They also show social support by hosting Christmas parties for military families and offer other support by doing everyday tasks such as shoveling the snow for them. I hope that the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group in Albert Lea has had an increase in volunteers after your article ran. It is a worthy cause and deserves recognition. I hope that this note gives the praise deserved to the volunteers that help improve the lives of our military families. I also hope that our military personnel feel appreciated and supported by the community in which they reside.

Thank you for writing this article and for making people aware of Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group. In today’s media it seems that all we hear about is negative things in our world. It’s nice to read about something positive that has the ability to improve, cheer, and spread neighborly love throughout our community. I’m glad that you wrote about the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Group in Albert Lea and hope your paper is able to publish more “feel good” stories like this in the future.
