You Can Help

The following are some of the active volunteer opportunities in Freeborn County. If you can help with any of these or would like to volunteer for others, call Pat Stumme, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program director, at Senior Resources, 377-7433.
Habitat’s Re-Store: You can help to staff the store Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon for March and April at the Habitat for Humanity’s new Re-Store 919 W. Main, Albert Lea. Connect with Adrienne Thorson, 507-402-1714 or American Bank 377-7030 to schedule several Saturday mornings that fit your calendar.
Girl Scouts celebrations: It’s more than selling cookies – this year celebrates the 100th year for Girls Scouts of America so special events and trips are in the works. Leader manuals have been updated; invitations for co-leaders are for 6 to 8 weeks of your time and special talent. Scout troops are also interested in touring your work to learn more about careers in Albert Lea. You can help, so please call Gege Abraham at 507-475-1755 to lend a hand.

RSVP, a program of Senior Resources of Freeborn County, receives some funding through the United Way of Freeborn County, Minnesota Board on Aging and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
