Three Rochester teenagers were arrested early Sunday morning after a short chase in downtown Albert Lea.

According to police, Ibrahim Abdirahman Mohamed, the driver of the vehicle, was arrested for fleeing in a vehicle, fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and test refusal.

Liban Omar Sheikh, 18, and Abdurahman Omar Dahir, 18, were cited for fleeing on foot.

Police stated the chase took place after 2 a.m. Sunday and began after an officer noticed the vehicle drive through a red light at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and College Street. The automobile drove through several red lights and was ultimately stopped in the alley west of Broadway Avenue in between College Street and Water Street.

 

4 cited for DWI

Police arrested Ron Francis Schreiber, 51, for first-degree driving while intoxicated at 11:26 p.m. Friday at 1611 Southeast Broadway, reports stated.

Police cited Jon Derek Johnson, 21, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 9:50 p.m. Friday at 134 W. William St., reports stated.

Police cited Abel Villegas, 38, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 1:56 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of East Seventh Street and St. Joseph Avenue, according to reports.

Police cited Michelle Renea Engelby, 43, for fourth-degree driving while intoxciated after a traffic stop at 1:43 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of St. Mary Avenue and West William Street, reports stated.

 

Woman injured in crash

A woman was transported to Austin Medical Center at 12:16 a.m. Saturday after a crash near 83235 140th St. in Glenville. Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports stated the woman, Shawnquella Williams was issued a citation for driving after suspension.

 

Aggressive turkey reported

An aggressive turkey was reported on Freeborn County Road 46 one mile east of Freeborn County Road 34 at 5:57 p.m. Sunday. According to reports, the turkey was attacking vehicles and not allowing cars to pass.

 

Man cited after fight

Police cited Spencer Adam Edwards, 21, for disorderly conduct after a reported fight at 2:02 a.m. Friday at 134 W. William St., police stated.

 

Wood splitter taken

A wood splitter was reported missing from 11353 755th Ave., Glenville, at 10:03 a.m. Sunday.

 

Checkbook stolen

A checkbook was reported stolen from a vehicle at 902 S. Fourth Ave. at 10:19 a.m. Saturday, reports stated.

 

House burglarized

A house at 104 Railroad St. in Gordonsville was reported broken into at 7:41 p.m. Thursday, according to reports. At 12:25 p.m. Friday, license plates were reported taken from the same address.

 

Vehicle broken into

A vehicle was reported broken into at 717 Marshall St. at 8:22 a.m. Thursday, according to reports.

 

Building broken into

A building was reported broken into at 305 S. First Ave. at 10:17 a.m. Thursday, according to reports.
