Marion Andrea Loges, 83, of Owatonna, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Valley View of Owatonna.

She was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Bemidj; the daughter of Bjarne and Caroline (Manger) Iverson. She graduated from Mound Consolidated High School in 1946, attended Augsburg College for one year, transferred to University of Minnesota and graduated 1951 with as a registered nurse and a Bachelor of Science in public health. Marion married Rev. Ralph Loges May 31, 1952, at St John Lutheran in Mound. They served in parishes in Minnesota, Illinois, Montana and Wisconsin before retiring in 1984 to their home in Owatonna where Ralph had served as a chaplin and visiting pastor. Marion was a nurse in Montana, Illinois, and a public health nurse in Steele County. She also served on the SE Minnesota Synod Women of the ELCA board as Mission Community chairwoman for two terms. She was also active at Vista Lutheran Church and has been a delegate to the Synod Assembly.

After retirement, she enjoyed church, traveling, fishing and her family.

She is survived by her son Andrew of Muscatine, Iowa; former daughter-in-law, Christine Grams of Seattle; brother, Bjarne Myron Iverson of Yukon, Okla.; nephew, Col. Michael Iverson of Honolulu; niece, Mairead House of Collierville, Tenn.; and many family and friends.

Marion is preceded in death by her husband; sister, Lucia Jacobsen; infant daughter, Andrea in 1955.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour before the service at the church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Vista Lutheran Church in New Richland with the Rev. Paul Meierding officiating. Interment will be in the Vista Lutheran Cemetery.
