The Southern Gateway Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association announces its third annual 15 Gun Auction from 5 to 8 p.m. March 31 at the American Legion with a choice of a burger, pulled pork or chicken basket for $8 per person. This will be served by the Legion and tickets will be available at the door. It is not necessary to purchase a ticket to attend or partake in the auction but food is available if desired. The public is invited to participate in the activities.

The money raised from the procedes are for Forkhorn camperships, other youth activities and other on going chapter projects. The chapter will be assisted in the serving and table cleanup by chapter members and the youth that attended or plan on attending Forkhorn camps as a contribution showing appreciation for their camperships that they received from the chapter. Southern Gateway sponsored 12 youth to attend camp this past summer.

The main attraction is the gun auction. There will be alternate prizes for winners that would rather select a gift certificate of similar value. There will be a collection of firearms and they will be raffled off via card raffles of $15 to $20, possibly a $10. Raffles will continue until the card deck sold out.
