School wants your old sneakers

I am a student from the Albert Lea Area Learning Center, and we are doing a fundraiser that I would be honored to inform you about. The fundraiser is called Green Sneakers, and by Green Sneakers I don’t mean actual sneakers colored green.
Green Sneakers is a way to recycle your old sneakers that you’re not exactly sure what to do with. We are asking that anyone with old sneakers please donate them to our school.
By donating your old sneakers our school will earn 50 cents for every pair. The proceeds our school earns from this fundraiser will go toward activities and any needed supplies for the school as a whole.
The shoes will be shipped off to another country, and once they are shipped they will be cleaned and restored for someone who is less fortunate. This donation will also help support jobs in third world countries.
We also ask that you bring the shoes tied together and leave them in the boxes labeled “Green Sneakers,” which are located at Brookside Education Center’s B Door, Dunham Sports and Tiger City Sports.
