In collaboration with the Albert Lea public school system and the Northbridge Mall, the Albert Lea Art Center will present its annual Elementary and Secondary School Art Show at the Northbridge Mall, March 4 through March 31. Hours for the exhibit will be 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, through the month of March.
A very popular annual event for the Art Center, the theme for this year’s show is “Flying High,” and will feature a variety of art from both the elementary and secondary student population.
“Having the school art show at the Northbridge Mall, presents an opportunity for our community to see and appreciate our talented student artists,” noted Pat Garbisch, arts administrator for the Art Center. “For some students, this may be their first experience of displaying their work beyond the refrigerator door and in a ‘real’ art show.”
An open house for the school show will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
