Albert Lea’s Hometown Pride Cleanup Day for residents will be held from 9 a.m. to noon April 28 at the city of Albert Lea Transfer Station and Demolition Landfill. The day provides the opportunity to dispose of most items free of charge, or at reduced rates. Neither hazardous waste nor commercial garbage will be accepted. Proof of city residence will be required.

The reduced rates will be:

• Free for brush/yard waste

• Free for household garbage

• Free for demolition debris

• $10 per appliance/sofa beds

• $5 per furniture piece

• $3 per car or pickup tire

• Regular rates on rims and e-waste
