Hawthorne Elementary raises money

The Hawthorne Elementary Citizenship Committee recently organized a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Association. Some of the activities included a coin drive, penny wars and the sale of penny earrings. Pictured is Mrs. Hendrickson’s class who participated in, and won, a third-grade penny war. Hawthorne raised a total of $771.29.
