Kitchen fire reported

A fire was reported in the kitchen of a house at 21234 775th Ave., east of Albert Lea, at 2:20 a.m. today, according to the Albert Lea Fire Department.
Officials stated a pan overheated and ignited.
The fire was out when firefighters arrived.
Damage, estimated at $4,500, was reported to the kitchen. Smoke damage was reported throughout the house.
2 cited for DWI
Police cited Billy Jamelle Adams, 29, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 1:21 a.m. Saturday at 913 Bridge Ave., according to reports.
Police cited Adam Richard Christenson, 30, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 12:40 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Glenview Drive.
Woman cited for dog violations
Two large pit bulls reportedly charged at a man and his family and almost bit them on Friday evening on Gene Avenue, according to police. Alishia Danielle Allen, 20, was cited for dog at large and having an unlicensed dog.
Man cited for shoplifting
Police cited Matthew David Block, 29, for shoplifting from Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave., at 6:15 p.m. Friday, according to reports.
TV stolen
A television was reported stolen from a house at 23372 740th Ave., Albert Lea, over the weekend, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
Mailbox damaged
A mailbox was reported damaged at 71368 255th St., Albert Lea, at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Sheriff’s Office reports stated.
Window broken
A window was reported broken out of a house at 303 Court St. at 4:02 p.m. Sunday, according to police.
Cash taken from car
Cash was reported stolen from a car at 2305 Margaretha Ave. at 4:40 p.m. Sunday, police stated.
