Luther O. Wasmoen, 84, formerly of Edina, passed away April 20, 2012. He was born Sept. 14, 1927.

He was preceded in death by wife Patricia.

Survivors include son Thomas (Barb); grandchildren: Chelsea and Steven; sister Grace Van Proosdy; sister-in-law Lois Wasmoer; numerous nieces and nephews.

Luther served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was the international training director for PAKO Corporation.

A private inurnment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Valley Community Presbyterian Church, 3100 Lilac Drive N., Golden Valley. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to National Parkinson’s Foundation, Wasmoen Memorial Fund.
