Memorial services for Mary Jo Kathleen Lee of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Crossroads Evangelical Free Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. James Petersen will officiate. Friends may greet the family from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mary Jo died peacefully Saturday morning, April 7, 2012, at her home in Albert Lea. She was 48 years of age.

Mary Jo was born Jan. 20, 1964, in Kokomo, Ind., the daughter of James and Nancy (Ebel) Martin. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School, Mankato State University in dental hygiene and Austin Community College in nursing. Mary Jo was united in marriage to Mark Claassen and later to Robert Lee. She was a member of the Crossroads church and had been employed by Dr. Steven Schwartz as a dental hygienist for many years. She was also a member of the Dental Hygienist Association and the Nursing Association.

Mary Jo was a lifelong member of the Albert Lea Family Y and enjoyed anything pertaining to fitness and running. She loved to attend and support her children’s sports and other activities. Some of her passions were home renovation and bargain shopping.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Lee, of Albert Lea; mother, Nancy Martin of Albert Lea; children: Jade, Alex and Courtney Claassen of Albert Lea, Chris (Katie) Lee of Conger and Jason (Malory) Lee of Austin, Texas; and grandson, Carter Lee; one , Pat (Melissa) Martin of Lakeville; sister Amy Martin of Minneapolis; aunts: Arlene Martin of Shawno, Wis., Carol Robins of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Mark, Marilyn and Mary Claassen and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father James Martin in 2009 and uncle Pat Martin.
