Thomas Williamson, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Thomas L. Williamson of Albert Lea will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bonnerup Funeral Service. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Area Veterans Groups.
Mr. Williamson died Saturday morning, April 7, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea. He was 70 years of age.
Thomas was born Dec. 10, 1941, in the state of Washington, the son of Raymond and Virginia (Gleason) Williamson. He was confirmed at the First Methodist Church in Glenville as a child. Thomas graduated from Glenville High School and vocational school in Minneapolis.
He served his country in the US Air Force. Thomas had been employed for many years with the E.F. Johnson Company where he retired after many years. He was a member of the American Legion for many years. Thomas enjoyed fishing and golf, playing cards, watching football and especially reading.
He is survived by his siblings: LeRoy (Bonnie) Williamson of Clear Lake, Iowa, Vivian (Don) Freeman of Albert Lea, Jerry Williamson of Northwood, Iowa, Steve (Lona) Williamson of Waseca and Terry (Mary) Williamson of Lucasville, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother Robert Williamson; and nephew Dustin Williamson.
