Ellendale man injured in motorcycle crash

Matthew Christensen, 28, of Ellendale received injuries that were not life-threatening when his motorcycle went in the ditch off Highway 60 in Le Sueur County. The crash occured around 4 p.m. Monday, according to the State Patrol. Christensen was driving a 1999 Harley Davidson Road Start motorcycle west on Highway 60.
Christensen was taken to St. Marys in Rochester, and no alcohol was detected in his system, according to the State Patrol. The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office and Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office assisted. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
Man arrested for possession
Michael Tillman Jones, 29, was arrested for second-degree possession of marijuana at 2:19 a.m. Saturday near Clarks Grove at 79503 298th St., according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
Man cited for possession
Nicholas Lee Weets was cited for two counts of fifth degree possession and fleeing at 2 a.m. Sunday near Clarks Grove at 79503 298th St., according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
3 arrested for possession
Daniel Harold Rish Jr. was arrested for a small amount of marijuana, using a false name and date of birth and fleeing around midnight Monday at 79503 298th St. in Clarks Grove.
Nathan A. Bandt and Dalton James August Sprenger were also arrested at the same address a little later. Bandt was arrested for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, and Sprenger was arrested on fifth-degree charges, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
Many cited for no use of seatbelt over holiday weekend
Together the Albert Lea Police Department and Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office cited at least 17 people for seat belt violations over the holiday weekend, according to reports.
Man arrested for DWI
David Allen Majerus, 56, was arrested for a third-degree DWI after testing 0.14 during a traffic stop near North Broadway Avenue and South First Avenue around midnight Friday, according to the Albert Lea Police Department.
Woman arrested for DWI
Trudy Kay Donahue, 57, was cited for a fourth-degree DWI after testing 0.14 during a traffic stop near South Broadway Avenue and Main Street at 10:23 p.m. Friday, according to the Albert Lea Police Department.

Man cited for speed after going more than 90 mph
Russell William Gates was cited for speed after an ambulance returning from a transport reported the man’s red truck with California plates was going more than 90 mph on Interstate 90 around 10 p.m. Sunday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
